Hey Lindsay,
I get Brazilians every 4-6 weeks, and have been now for about 3 years. I love it, but can I make a recommendation?
Find a salon that uses hard wax. Hard wax actually dries only on the hair itself and then the lady just rips the wax off as opposed to using the little strips and such. (the wax sort of becomes the strip - it's harder to explain than I thought it would be...just email me if you have any questions!) Hard wax doesn't rip the top layer of your skin off like regular wax, which is nice since that particular area is already a bit sensitive anyway!
Anyway, glad you took the plunge. Once you get waxed, you'll never go back!

Oh dear LAWD. Must be a humiliating hoo haa post kinda day!

I had a colleague who liked to manscape. He used to love sharing the gory details of his bikini line (or lack thereof )One time, he let the salon talk him into waxing a little further... ummm south? For WEEKS lunch entertainment was watching him wriggle in his seat. Regrowth is a witch.

Oh My WORD! Your play by play made this sound nearly bare-able (partial pun intended) but oh my word. I have done the regular bikini on only 3 occasions since my Hubs and I have been married (3 years) and he too dreams of the Brazillian. And while the pain is bad in the moment (I too pop pills before I do it) I suppose I don't lie awake thinking about the pain later, it's just bad at the time. However, I would feel the pain would be too much if I did the full monty. Wow. You are brave.

I've asked mine what he thinks, and for him, he doesn't really care, but he would mind the cost, I think. It's hard for him to accept the cost to color the hair on my head, so I think paying someone to remove the other hair would upset him! ;)
